Soz said the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government’s decision to allow foreign direct investment (FDI) in India was “the need of the hour” and that it would bring with it new technology in the farming sector to benefit farmers by improving the quality and quantity of their produce.

He also said the Bharatiya Janata Party was no match for the Congress in ruling the country.

“It is clear now that whether on its own or in coalition with other parties, the Congress will be ruling the country in future too,” Soz told reporters here. “The BJP neither has the talent nor the vision to rule the country,” he added.

He claimed that the same was true of Jammu and Kashmir “where either it would be Congress ruling the state on its own or in coalition with other parties.”
