Yangon : A moderate earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale jolted northern Myanmar Thursday morning, reports Xinhua.
According to Nay Pyi Taw Hydrology and Meteorology Department, the epicentre of the quake was estimated at about 57.92 km southwest of Nay Pyi Taw.
The US Geological Survey said the quake, with a magnitude of 5.2, struck at a depth of 10.10 km.
