Atmosphere of celebration in Assam

Assam is in atmosphere of celebration with the Assamese New Year, Rongali or Bohag Bihu to be celebrated on Monday.

Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi on Saturday on the eve of Rongali or Bohag Bihu which marks the Assamese New Year, wished the people a happy and prosperous new year. He said that the festival of spring will bring freshness in the heart and minds of people. He also took part in a Bihu dance with youths on Saturday at Sankardeva Kalashetra in Guwahati.
