Yeddyurappa promises Rs. 2000 crore for Muslims if voted to power

Former Karnataka CM says Congress has only used Muslims as vote bank

Bengaluru: Former chief minister and Karnataka Janata Party (KJP) chief B S Yeddyurappa said that Congress has used Muslims as their vote bank and highlighted some burning issues facing the community in the state.

KJP released its manifesto here on Saturday and has promised a budget of Rs. 2,000 crore for the development of Muslim community and creation of employment and basic amenities was also promised, if elected to power.

He also promised to reserve a development package in the budget of Rs. 250 crore for the Christian minority and Rs. 2,000 crore for backward classes.

The party released its 4th list of candidates, which has one Muslim, N.K. Fareed contesting from Narsimharaja.
