New Delhi: A series of tremors were felt in Delhi when a quake, measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale, with its epicentre in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, occurred at 3 p.m. IST Wednesday, an India Meteorological Department official said.
Other parts of north India also felt the tremors.
On April 16, an earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale had rocked the Pakistan-Iran region — tremors were felt in Delhi at that time too.
