Gurgaon to get model commerce and science college

    Gurgaon : Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda Sunday laid the foundation stone of Rao Tula Ram Model Government Commerce and Science College in Sector 51 of Delhi’s suburban town.

    It would be developed on the pattern of Sri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Delhi. Hooda announced this college during the Badshahpur assembly constituency “Vikas Rally” on sitting legislator Rao Dharampal’s demand.

    It is named after 1857 freedom struggle martyr Rao Tula Ram, who is ancestor of Gurgaon member of parliament Rao Inderjeet Singh, present in that rally but not invited Sunday as he floated a breakaway Haryana Insaaf Manch.

    Hooda has issued directions that the construction of the enw college be completed within 18 months. The college would cost around Rs.40 crore and would be set up over a campus area of about 10 acres.
