JF-17 fighter strengthens Pakistan’s defence: Sharif

    Islamabad : Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said Wednesday the JF-17 fighter aircraft has strengthened the country’s defence, a media report said.

    Sharif was addressing the rolling out ceremony of the 50th JF-17 Thunder aircraft at the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra, in Punjab province, Geo News reported.

    He said Pakistan is formulating a new defence policy keeping in mind the ground realities.

    The JF-17 programme is a joint venture between Pakistan and China. It is a co-designed, co-developed and co-produced aircraft that is being produced at the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex through transfer of technology, according to the official website of the Pakistan Air Force.
