New Delhi: It was a chilly Sunday in Delhi with the maximum temperature settling four degrees below the season’s average at 17.4 degrees Celsius.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the sky will remain clear Monday though there will be fog in the morning.
“Fog will occur Monday morning and the minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to hover around 11 degrees and 18 degrees, respectively,” said an IMD official.
An official of the Northern Railway said the fog affected only three trains leaving Delhi which had to be rescheduled, while 28 trains arriving from various parts of north India, reeling under dense fog, were late.
According to IMD, the visibility at 8.30 a.m. was 400 metres.
The minimum temperature settled at four degrees above the average at 12 degrees. It was a little less compared to Saturday’s 12.5 degrees Celsius.
