Beijing : A fire destroyed at least 92 homes in a village in China, but there were no casualties, the government said Thursday.
The blaze broke out in the Gannan Tibetan region of Gansu province Wednesday night, Xinhua reported.
Situated in a forest zone, the Heiduo village has 136 households. At least 92 of them were gutted.
The fire was put out by Thursday morning, officials said.
Tents have been set up by rescuers to accommodate around 400 villagers who lost their homes.
The cause of the fire was being investigated. But forest officials said no wood fires had been reported near the village in the past two days.
