London: The 2013 London Film Festival (LFF) would be held in October, the organisers said Thursday.
Festival director Clare Stewart said the festival, in its 57th year and one of the high-profile European film festivals, would run from Oct 9 to 20, Xinhua reported.
The 2012 festival hosted 227 feature films at dozens of venues across the city.
Among the notable movies were the latest adaptation of Charles Dickens’ “Great Expectations” starring Helena Bonham Carter, and Tim Burton’s latest movie “Frankenweenie”.
Last year, around 151,000 people attended the festival.
