Raipur : The Chhattisgarh government Tuesday told the state assembly that 106 people were killed in industrial accidents in 13 months.
The state has witnessed 167 industrial incidents between January 1, 2012 and January 2013 which claimed the lives of 106 people, Labour Minister Chandrasekhar Sahu told the assembly in reply to a question of Congress member Premsai Singh Tekam.
He said 157 industrial accidents were reported last year in which 99 people were killed and 13 others were disabled permanently while 10 accidents were reported in just 20 days this year that killed seven labourers.
