Three held in Gurgaon for harassing college girls

Gurgaon : Three students of a distance education university were Wednesday arrested here for harassing college girls, police said.

Naresh Kumar, a resident of Behrampur village, and Nafe Singh and Suraj, residents of Ullawas village, all in their early 20s, were arrested in sector 15 and booked for obscene acts, police said.

They chased a girl student up to the post-graduate government women’s college on MG Road in sector 14 and passed lewd comments at girl students in an area close to the hostel, police said.

“After objections from girls, they fled the scene but were caught from sector 15,” a police officer said.

“We have registered a case against the trio under section 294 (obscene acts) of IPC (Indian Penal Code),” said Civil Lines police station chief Naresh Kumar.
