Aligarh: Brigadier (Retd.) S. Ahmad Ali, Pro Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University has been awarded the Chief of Army Staff Commendation Medal on occasion of the Army Day 2013.
Before obtaining his retirement in June 2012, Brigadier S. Ahmad Ali served for the last 35 years in Infantry of the Kumaon Regiment.
Earlier, he has been awarded the Sena Medal for his distinguished services during the Kargil war. Brigadier Ali was also awarded Commander in Chief’s Commendation Card for outstanding integration of Army units with their services and evolving maritime and ambitious strategy for defense in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
He joined the Aligarh Muslim University as Pro Vice Chancellor on September 26, 2012 after retiring from the Indian Army.
