Reliance Communications revenue rises 5 percent

Mumbai : Reliance Communications Wednesday said its revenue increased five percent to Rs.5,301 crore in the third quarter of the current financial year as compared to Rs.5,055 crore recorded during the corresponding period of previous year.

The company has posted a net profit of Rs.110 crore for the quarter ended Dec 31, 2012, as compared to a net loss of Rs.277 crore during the like quarter of previous year.

Reliance Communications total income increased to Rs.3,294 crore during the quarter under review as compared to Rs.3,007 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter of 2011-12, the company said in a regulatory filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Share price of Reliance Communications closed 0.63 percent higher at Rs.88.10 at the Bombay Stock Exchange. Results were announced after the market closed.
