Jamia Aligarh remembers father of nation

Aligarh: Prof. Razaullah Khan President of Millat Bedari Muhim Committee (MBMC) Aligarh recalled that it is really a sad chapter of history that the person who had always professed non-violence was shot dead. He said that India is a secular nation and violence or communalism has no place in Indian polity. Prof. Khan was addressing a meeting held in memory and 65th Death Anniversary of Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi who was shot dead on 30 January 1948.

Hony. Secretary of MBMC Jasim Mohammad recalled that the philosophy which murdered Mahatma Gandhi has been allowed to continue in the country. He said though we have adopted a secular Constitution but the concept has been allowed to become irrelevant.

At the end of the meeting, two minute silence was observed and prayer was held for world peace.
