Patna HC advocates association pays tribute to Mohammad Yunus

    Patna: First time after 61 years of the death of legendry jurist and politician Mohammad Yunus in 1952 in London, this year on 4th July Patna High court Advocates’ Association organised a programme in Main Hall of the Association to pay tribute to Mohammad Yunus.

    President of the Patna High Court Advocates’ Association Advocate Yogesh Chandra Verma presided the programme. Yogesh Chandra Verma in his speech identified Mohammad Yunus as an stalwart of Patna High court and a hero of secularism. He said today when the 2014 elections is doubted to be surcharged on communal lines, its the right time that we should remember the stalwart of communal harmony and secularism Barrister Mohammad Yunus.



    Chairman of Yunus Foundation and great grandson of Mohammad Yunus, Advocate Mohammad Kashif Yunus in his speech focuses on the main points that why Mohammad Yunus should be remembered.

    “He should be remembered as an advocate by advocates’ community who played vital role in social and political sphere of life and advocate community should be proud of this. He should be remmembered by Bihari’s as first Chief Minister of Bihar and among the founding fathers of Bihar. He should be remebered by the backward community as the person who first time included a backward Babu Gur Sahaye Lal as Revenue Minister in his ministry,” he said.



    JD (U) state general secretary Rajendra prasad Natt also addressed the programme.

    General Secretary of the Advocates’ Association Prakash Srivastava promised the audience that from now this programme will continue every year wothout any delay or absence. He thanked the distinguishe advocates to attend the programme and also to media for their presence.
