Cloudy Thursday in Delhi

    New Delhi: Delhiites woke up to a cloudy, sultry morning Thursday with the minimum temperature settling a notch above average at 27.2 degrees Celsius. The weather office has forecast rains later in the day.

    “The skies will remain cloudy and some parts of the city are expected to get one or two spells of rainfall or thundershowers,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

    The maximum temperature is expected to hover at 35 degrees Celsius, the official added.

    Humidity at 8.30 a.m. Thursday stood at a whopping 89 percent.

    According to IMD, till now the capital has recorded a total rainfall of only 253.9 mm, which is 45 percent above than normal.

    Wednesday’s maximum temperature settled a notch above season’s average at 34.4 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was normal at 26.7 degrees Celsius.
