Banglore: Heads up, poetry lovers. If you have always wanted to write scintillating poems, but backed out every time your nib hit the paper due to insufficient vocabulary or because you were unable to find a rhyming word, then don’t fret anymore. Rimes Robo has you covered.
Rimes Robo is a mobile based Android application, which generates a list of rhyming words for any word that you say out loud, helping you create poetry in any genre. When the software is activated, you simply say the word out loud and the app will list out all the options that are available in the database.

Developed by Globalapps R, the app is available in two avatars, Rimes Robo 2 is the free version, which is available in English and Russian and Rimes Robo 16, the paid version is available in 16 different languages.
While this app will come really handy for both amateur poets and pros alike, but is there is a fear that dependence on software to create poetry will leave it with less literary value? “I think the software is a fun way to pick up new words, or simply have word fun. As far as poetry goes, I don’t think rhyming is really the main aspect of poetry-making,” says Archana Prasad, contemporary artist and founder of Poetry across Borders – a poetry reading circle that has an live online link with Melbourne and Berlin.
