Guwahati: City based ERD Foundation is starting the “Community Leadership Award-2013” to accord recognition to 25 members of the minority community who have “displayed unparalleled devotion to their profession and field of activity, outstanding leadership qualities and besides being a role model for the community.”
This is first of its kind initiative among the Muslim community of North-Eastern part of the country, Mahbubul Hoque, Chairman ERDF and Chancellor of of science & Technology, Meghalaya.
K. Rahman Khan, Union Minister of Minority Affairs and Tarun Gogoi, Chief Minister of Assam will give away the award.
Rahman Khan will also visit USTM on April 3 in the morning to lay the foundation stone of new academic block in the name of Prof K Siddique Hassan Academic Block, the graet live visionary from Kerala.
