US agents removed from Obama’s security for misconduct

    Washington: Two senior US Secret Service agents have been removed from the protective detail of President Barack Obama, after allegations of inappropriate behaviour, Xinhua reported.

    According to The Washington Post, an internal investigation was ordered after Ignacio Zamora, a senior supervisor overseeing the president ‘s security detail, was allegedly discovered attempting to reenter a woman’s room at a hotel in Washington D.C. in May after accidentally leaving behind a bullet from his service weapon.

    In a further investigation, agency officials also found that Zamora and another supervisor, Timothy Barraclough, had sent sexually suggestive e-mails to a female subordinate.

    Zamora was removed from his security assignment and Barraclough was sent away from the detail to a separate part of the division, the US daily said citing citing Secret Service’s internal findings.
