Kolkata: Saradha Group head Sudipta Sen, the prime suspect in the Bengal chit fund scam, Tuesday claimed none of those named by the group’s former media arm CEO Kunal Ghosh had any links with his company.
“None of the 14 people named by Kunal are involved with Saradha,” Sen, now behind bars, told newspersons at the Jalpaiguri district court premises.
“None of the 14 ever took any favours from the Saradha Group. They were not involved with the companies,” said Sen, who was presented in the court in connection with the scam, the biggest financial scandal to hit West Bengal.
“He (Ghosh) is taking the names of important people only to hog the limelight,” said Sen, replying to a query about Ghosh naming some people regarding the scandal.
Ghosh, arrested Nov 23, has been remanded to police custody till Nov 28.
