The offensive against the state government would be launched owing to the growing atrocities against women and the breakdown of the law and order situation.

Earlier, the president of the All-India Mahila Congress Shobha Ojha Sunday said there was not much difference between state chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and his Gujarat counterpart Narendra Modi as both had done little work for the people of their states.

She further alleged that the situation in the state was far worse than it was under Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati and added that the women were feeling unsafe in the SP rule.

“Even in matters like mal-nutrition, Uttar Pradesh has overtaken Madhya Pradesh,” Ojha said.

She further directed the women’s wing of the party to hold conferences by dividing the state in eight zones and to conclude the anti-government drive by holding a mammoth “Halla Bol” rally in the state capital later this year.
