Baghdad : At least 17 people, among them five policemen , have been killed and 25 others wounded in separate attacks in Iraq, police said.
Five policemen were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up at a police checkpoint in Ramadi, capital of Anbar province, around 100 km west of Baghdad, reported Xinhua.
Four policemen and three civilians were also injured in the attack.
One policeman and a civilian were killed when unidentified gunmen attacked their car in Falluja, 50 km west of Baghdad.
In Dujal, 70 km north of Baghdad, two girls were killed and their father and brother were wounded when their car was hit by a roadside bomb.
In Madain, 30 km from Baghdad, two farmers were killed and two others wounded when a roadside bomb exploded in a farm in Diyala province, police said.
One worshipper was killed and four were wounded when unidentified gunmen opened fire as they were coming out of a mosque in Al Jamiaa district in western Baghdad.
Six civilians were wounded in a roadside bombing in Amiriyaa area in western Baghdad.
In the new Baghdad area in the eastern part of the city, unidentified gunmen stormed into a small mosque and opened fire on six men praying there, killing five of them, police said.
