Buenos Aires: Tokyo will be hosting its second summer Olympic Games in 2020, it was announced by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) here Saturday.
It will be the second time after 1964 that Tokyo will be hosting the Games again.
The following is the list of Olympic hosts:

1912 – Stockholm
1916 – Berlin (cancelled due to World War I)
1920 – Antwerp
1924 – Paris

1940 – First awarded to Tokyo then to Helsinki (cancelled due to World War II)
1944 – London (cancelled due to World War II)
