According to Jordan News Agency (Petra), Ensour briefed Amos, who is on a tour of the region, on the burden shouldered by Jordan as it hosts about 600,000 refugees.

He stated that the asylum process for Syrians in the face of limited resources formed the major challenges to the service sectors, infrastructure, education, health and employment opportunities in the communities hosting the refugees, especially in the north of Jordan.

On developments relating to the Syrian crisis, the Jordanian prime minister stressed that his country was ready for all eventualities, including a large influx of refugees to Jordan in the event of a military strike against Syria.
