New Delhi : A Delhi court Wednesday reserved the order on sentencing the four convicted in the Dec 16 gangrape case to Friday.
Additional Sessions Judge Yogesh Khanna said he would deliver the verdict Sep 13.
Additional Public Prosecutor Dayan Krishnan sought death penalty for all the four who were convicted for the Dec 16 gang rape and murder of a 23-year-old physiotherapy intern here.
Police sought death penalty for the attackers, saying they only deserve “death sentence” for the brutal crime.
The defence counsel, however, sought leniency for the accused saying the crime was committed on the “spur of the moment and was not premeditated”.
The four accused were Tuesday convicted for gangrape, murder, attempt to murder, and kidnapping, among other charges.
