Chengdu : Eight people were killed Sunday in a road accident in southwest China’s Sichuan province, local officials said.
The accident occurred at 1.20 p.m. in Zhenwu village, near Dazhou City, when a passenger bus carrying 24 people collided with a truck, and then toppled off a bridge, reported Xinhua.
Eight bodies have been recovered, six survivors were severely injured and others sustained minor injuries, the officials said.
Rescue efforts are continuing, while the accident is being investigated.
