Jeddah : Minister of Haj Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Hajjar announced that the Ministry of Health is the competent authority to issue instructions with regard to slap a ban on Haj visas for pilgrims from the Ebola-hit countries, in coordination with the World Health Organization (WHO), Saudi newspaper Okaz reported.
This came in response to a query about the failure to ban Haj visas to Nigerian pilgrims despite the emergence of “Ebola” epidemic in Nigeria.
Dr. Hajjar presided the meeting of the National Adilla Establishment’s Board, held on Sunday, to discuss the Adilla’s arrangements and preparations for receiving the pilgrims of the Hajj season 1435H/2014, in light of more than 3,600 pilgrims housing agreements concluded in Madinah till date.
