Riyadh : The Saudi interior ministry Sunday announced the arrest of 135 terrorists, including 16 Syrians, who planned attacks in the country.
According to a ministry official, most of those detained are Saudis, except 26 from various other nationalities, Xinhua reported.
The official said they were arrested in different parts of the country for joining extremists in conflicts zones and receiving training to carry out terror acts.
Saudi Arabia has suffered several terrorism attacks in the past years, and the police forces are trying to prevent future strikes by full alert and tough measures.
