The Pakistani Taliban Tuesday slaughtered 148 people, mostly children, in a brazen terror attack on an army-run school in Peshawar city.

Terming the attacks as a “heinous crime”, Deepanshu Aggarwal, a class 9 student, said: “What was the fault of those children who got killed. These terrorists do not believe in any religion. They only create fear amongst people.”

Another student, Akash Sinha from Kendriya Vidyalaya, said: “With this candle light meet, we want to show the world that we believe in peace and it can only prevail through love.”

The students from Delhi government and central government schools as well as New Delhi Municipal Corporation schools were accompanied by their teachers at the gathering.

Schools across India Wednesday observed a two-minute silence and held special prayers for the departed souls.
