Borsad (Gujarat): The annual concert 2014 was celebrated with a programme titled Sadabahar Kahaniya – Tales of All Times here with great fervour and enthusiasm.

The programme, held on Saturday, December 20, depicted varied popular childhood stories dramatized by the students of the school from pre-primary to senior secondary sections. The event had varied song & drama representations – Choir singing, songs such as ‘School Chale Hum’, ‘Nani Teri Morni’, ‘Maat Tu Kitni Achi Hai’ and cartoon songs and skits such as ‘Rhino Story’, ‘Molly, the Mouse’, ‘The Pied Piper of Haemlin’ and ‘The Wizard of Oz’.

The students gave a splendid performance in their individual acts and events and won the hearts of the audience & the invited guests of honour with their charismatic performance, a release from the school said.

The event was graced by Faisal Fazlani, chairman, School Management Committee. The Guests of Honour were Rakesh Shankar, the Collector of Anand, S R Malik, the Commissioner Income Tax, Vadodara and Ashok Kumar, District Superintendent of Police, Anand.

Collector Shankar recited a poem, which he wrote on the spot, to praise the event and extended his open cooperation from the administration for the development of the school and its students. DSP Kumar stressed on the need of the aptitude test and talent hunt. Besides, the Commissioner of Income Tax too recollected fond memories of his school days wishing to be a student again.

School Director Zuber Gopalani addressed the gathering and proposed the vote of thanks to the invited guests. Principal Harinder Dhillon applauded the children and the teachers for their continuing efforts. “It was heartening to observe the merit of the students getting recognized amidst the rural backdrop in the town of Borsad,” she said.
