Bangladesh’s FDI rises

Dhaka : Bangladesh’s foreign direct investment (FDI) increased 1.36 percent during July-November 2013 period of the current fiscal year compared to the same period last fiscal, the central bank’s data showed Monday.

The Bangladesh Bank’s data showed that net FDI inflows were recorded at $673 million during the five months starting from July, as against $664 million in the same period last fiscal, reported Xinhua.

The bank, however, did not provide any details on the FDI inflows.

Net FDI inflows in the country in 2012-13 fiscal year (July 2012-June 2013) stood at $1.47 billion, as against $1.19 billion in 2011-12 fiscal year, the data showed.
