Nine social activists in AAP’s first LS list

New Delhi : As many as nine out of 20 nominees in Aam Aadmi Party’s first list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections are social activists.

The AAP’s first list of candidates was announced here Sunday.

Prominent among them are Medha Patkar, Mayank Gandhi, Meera Sanyal, Khalid Parwez and Anjali Damania.

The other social activists are Baba Hardev Singh, Mukul Tripathi, Yogesh Dahiya and Subhash Ware.

There are also two former journalists in the fray. While one is former TV journalist Ashutosh, the other is Jarnail Singh, who hurled a shoe at then home minister P. Chidambaram.

The list also features senior lawyer H.S. Phoolka.
