Speaking to Saudi Press Agency, Sheikh Saleh said that the visit underlines the keenness of Saudi Arabia to communicate with Muslims in various parts of the world, as well as to boost interaction between Muslims in the Kingdom, represented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, and India. Saudi Arabia, the cradle of Islam, has strong bilateral relations with India, which is the third most populous Muslim country in the world. There are around 200 million Muslims in India, and they are the largest minority in a country with a population of 1.2 billion. Indian expatriates make one third of the nine million expatriates living in Saudi Arabia.
