The timeline of 2012 Chhawla rape-murder-kidnapping case:
Feb 9, 2012 – The victim kidnapped by three men in Qutub Vihar area while she was returning from her office. A case of kidnapping was lodged in west Delhi’s Chhawla police station.
Feb 13, 2012 – Police arrest three accused and recovered their car. Victim’s body found in a field in Rodhai village in Haryana’s Rewari district.
Feb 14, 2012 – The victim’s body was identified by her parents.
May 26, 2012 – Court framed charges of rape, murder, kidnappping and other offences against three accused.
January 2013- Case transferred to a fast track court for speedy disposal.
Nov 27, 2013 – Statement of accused recorded.
Feb 13, 2014 – Court convicts the three accused of rape and murder.
Feb 17, 2014 – Court reserves order on quantum of sentence.
Feb 19, 2014 – Death sentence awarded to three men.
