New Delhi: Media Co-ordiantor of Jamia Millia Islamia has joined as Professor Simi Malhotra has joined as Advisor, Academics, Media and Culture, on deputation at the office of Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung.
Prof Malhotra teaches in the Department of English and was given the charge of media cell of the University after Najeeb Jung had taken over as the Vice Chancellor from Professor Mushirul Hassan in 2009. She had also been the Co-Ordiantor of the International Affairs of the University for many years.
In an Email circulated to the media fraternity, she informed that she will no longer be looking after the media office of Jamia Millia Islamia. Since she would be on deputation, she would not be taking classes till she serves in the office of the lt Governor.
Dr. Mukesh Ranjan, Associate Professor at the Department of English, is taking over the charge of the media office of the University.
