San Francisco: 6,297 blankets and warm clothes were distributed by IMRC in the winter. Indian Muslim Relief & Charity (IMRC), a US-based relief organization distributed these blankets as part of it Blanket Drive across seven states of India.
According to the information released by IMRC, three-thousand of these blankets were distributed in 12 camps in Muzaffanagar and Shamli districts of Uttar Pradesh. These camps are inhabited by people displaced in the aftermath of anti-Muslim violence of last year.
Blanket drive took place in following states: Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Jharkhand, and Bihar.
