The judicial restrainment in respect of the land bearing Khasra No.67/2 was removed by the hon’ble court in mid-April 2014 when it chose to modify the maintenance of status quo in the Okhla Village land case (Suit No.2/14). The possession of land became possible through award no.09/2014-15 given by the Land Acquisition Collector (South-East Delhi), Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi.

Mr. P.P. Malhotra, Additional Solicitor General of India appeared for the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi and was effectively assisted by Mr. M Atyab Siddiqui, Chief Legal Advisor, Jamia Millia Islamia.

The acquisition of the prime land will enable the university to actualize its developmental plans in near future.
