No injuries have been reported so far.

Paramedics said that following the explosions in southern Gaza Strip, ambulances and rescue teams rushed to the bombed area, but no injuries were reported.

Security officials in Gaza said the Israeli air-to-ground missiles targeted areas that militants are using for launching rockets into Israel.

The airstrikes were carried out shortly after militants in the Gaza Strip fired several rockets and projectiles into southern Israeli towns and communities Saturday afternoon.

The Israeli media reported that at least one Israeli was injured by the shrapnel of a rocket.

The growing tension between Israel and Gaza militants continue to grow Saturday amid conflicting reports on an Egyptian attempt to mediate calm between the two sides.

Sami Abu Zuhri, Hamas spokesman in Gaza, denied in a press statement that there are talks or contacts on reaching a truce with Israel, adding “these reports are untrue”.
