New Delhi: A 35-year-old prisoner in Tihar Jail committed suicide by hanging himself inside his cell Wednesday evening, jail officials said.
Ram Kumar, who was undergoing trial in a kidnapping case, was found hanging from a ceiling fan inside jail No.8 around 6 p.m., officials said.
A jail warden saw the body and informed other officials.
A judicial inquiry will be conducted and the body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
