Ehsan Jafri was the former Congress MP who had won Ahmedabad seat in 1977 for 6th Lok Sabha elections and was unfortunately killed by the anti-muslim rioters in his home on 28th February 2002 along with others who had taken refuge in his home. His widow Zakia Jafri has accused high handedness by Gujarat CM Narendra Modi during the riots and has petitioned to make him an accused in the Gulbarg Society massacre case. Recently Supreme Court appointed Investigation Agency (SIT) has given clean chit to Gujarat CM Narendra Modi but Zakia Jafri has shown determination to challenge that order before the higher courts.

When the killing of MP Ehsan Jafri has become a hot political issue in the country there are very little people in the country of 1.2 billion who even remember and offer prayers on his death anniversary. There is one small high school, not much developed, located in Chandan Jhera of Jalna that makes itself different than many other schools and institutions by offering prayers for martyred Ehsan Jafri and other victims of 2002 communal riots.

Students also delivered speeches on the life of late Ehsan Jafri. Moreover all the teachers, non teaching staff and students prayed for justice to Zakia Jafri.

The program was attended by President of school Shabana Tabassum, Secretary Farida Jabeen, Ansari Nazia, Kashif Ansari, Wahid Deshmukh, Shaikh Iqbal, Shaikh Feroz, Shaikh Asim and parents of the students.
