President of Mushawarat, Dr Zafarul-Islam Khan said Dr Lone’s arrest is unjust and against the basic freedoms of expression and freedom of conscience. A non-violent expression of one’s beliefs is his constitutional right. Mushawarat demands the immediate and unconditional release of Dr Lone and hopes that the J&K administration in future will not transgress its legal limits. The Mushawarat head has also written a letter in this respect to the CM Jammu & Kashmir.
