Government approves financial revival of 23 DCCBs

New Delhi : The government Wednesday approved the financial revival of 23 unlicenced district central cooperative banks (DCCBs) in four States.

According to a cabinet statement released here, of the 23 banks, 16 are located in Uttar Pradesh, three in Jammu and Kashmir, three in Maharashtra and one in West Bengal.

Under the Scheme, the total capital infusion required for revival of the 23 DCCBs would be Rs.2,375.42 crore, of which the commitment from the central government would be Rs.673.29 crore, from state governments Rs.1,464.59 crore and from National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) Rs.237.54 crore.
