AAP questions appointment of Nadda, Giriraj Singh

Ghaziabad : The Aam Aadmi Party Monday questioned the appointment of J.P. Nadda and Giriraj Singh to the union council of ministers.

Addressing a press conference at the party’s Kaushambi office in Ghaziabad, AAP’s chief spokesperson Yogendra Yadav said the induction of Nadda as union health minister raised serious questions whether the BJP is serious about tackling corruption.

Nadda is the same man on whose recommendation the chief vigilance officer of AIIMS, Sanjiv Chaturvedi, was removed unceremoniously, Yadav said.

Chaturvedi was removed from his post by the then health minister Harsh Vardhan allegedly at the behest of Nadda.

“The same man has been made health minister. How can this country expect the survival of honest officers in the health department,” said Yadav.

Giriraj Singh, appointed minister of state, was “exposed in the past” when a theft of a huge amount of cash from his house was reported, Yadav added.
