The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to go solo in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections.
Riding high on its recent success in the assembly polls in Haryana and Maharashtra, BJP has set a target of 44-plus seats in the 87-seat Jammu and Kashmir assembly. The BJP’s best performance so far in the state was in 2008 when it got 11 seats.
