South Korea looks to boost ties with India

Nay Pyi Taw : Prime Minister Narendra Modi met South Korean President Park Geun-hye here Wednesday on the sidelines of the 12th ASEAN-India Summit.

Looking to enhance cooperation with India, President Park Geun-hye invited Prime Minister Modi to Seoul, according to a PMO India tweet.

Earlier in the day, Modi met his Thai and Malaysian counterparts, Prayut Chan-o-cha and Najib Tun Razak, respectively, and also addressed the ASEAN-India Summit.

On Tuesday, Modi held a meeting with Myanmar President U Thein Sein and the two focused on issues related to connectivity, cultural contacts and commercial ties.

Modi, who is on a three-nation visit, flies to Australia after Myanmar. While returning home, he will visit Fiji.
