Saudi Arabia finishes entry procedures for 1,388,404 Pilgrims

Makkah : The Saudi authorities announced completion of receiving the pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom via the international entry ports, saying that no observations or problems were reported.

The Directorate General of Passports said that it has finished entry procedures for 1,388,404 pilgrims until 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday (October 01, 2014).

The number of pilgrims who came by air was 1,315,276, by land 59,133 pilgrims, and by sea 13,995 pilgrims.
Furthermore, the Passports issued decisions against violators of Haj regulations, including fines amounted to SR 6.6 million (US $ 1.7 million) and varying detention periods, totaled over 900 days. There were also requests for confiscation of 31 cars.
