“Our troops retaliated with same calibre weapons. Firing exchanges continued in the area up to 3.50 p.m. No casualty or damage has so far been reported on our side,” he added.

Pakistan had violated ceasefire on the same area of the LoC Thursday resulting in injuries to six civilians and damage to six houses.

After a lull of nearly one month, Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire Oct 1 in Poonch district.
