Jammu: Security forces Saturday busted a guerrilla hideout in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district and seized a cache of arms and ammunition, a defence spokesman said.
“Based on the specific intelligence inputs about presence of hideout/cache, a joint operation was launched by local Rashtriya Rifle unit and state police in general area Sukhni Nala in Doda district Saturday,” said the spokesman.
“War-like stores including a 9mm Chinese pistol, two magazine, two AK-47 magazines, seven rounds 9mm ammunition, 15 rounds for a 7.65mm LMG, 256 rounds for 7.62 mm AK, 17 UBGL grenades, four rounds HMG, two PIKA, two explosive grenades, two radio sets, a walkie-talkie, a binocular, one letter pad of the Lashkar-e-Toiba and books printed in Sialkot (Pakistan) were recovered,” he added.
