Rehab India distributes Qurbani food kits in 650 villages of 15 states to 75000 beneficiaries

New Delhi: With an endeavour to bring harmony and celebration during festivals and other auspicious occasion in the life of underprivileged people of the society, Rehab India Foundation distributed Qurbani Food Kits to the poor and needy families across India during the Eid-ul-Azha.

With the help of donors across the country, who offered their share of Qurbani to Rehab Qurbani Food Kits Distribution Program 2014, it was possible to reach out to 75,000 families across 650 villages of 15 states, a release said here today.

The recent massive flood in Jammu & Kashmir created an environment of displeasure, the release said, adding, “Keeping this in mind, Rehab India Foundation tried to work with the affected people of Kashmir and help them rehabilitate into their normal life. We tried to bring smiles on faces of people who were hardly getting enough food to eat.”

Afsel Chandrakandy, Gen. Secretary of Rehab India Foundation said “We planned to celebrate this Eid with masses who hardly enjoy good food on festivals. We made this achievable with the overwhelming support of our donors and well wishers.”

The states where Rehab could reach out are: Assam, West Bengal, Manipur, Bihar, Jharkhand, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala, Jammu &Kashmir, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan.
